Masquerade Picards - Raising Berger Picards in Southwest Virginia

March 30th, 2015

Just a quick update on happenings here…

Idle goes this Friday for his CHIC eye exam, wish us luck!

I’ve got to reschedule his Xrays because the machine was down when I had him scheduled last week.

Jack & Cricket are still here looking for their forever homes.  Cricket is a wild child and a ball of energy.  If someone is looking for a great companion for runs or maybe activities, he may be the dog for you.

Finally got around to getting new pictures of Jack & Cricket.  They had a blast rolling in the snow.

Shew, we lost power during our coldest night this year, no fun!  Hope everyone’s staying warm.

We still have Cricket & Jack available to approved homes.  I’m working on getting updated pictures of them, hoping to get snow playing pictures this afternoon.

I won’t be breeding Idle/Farrah until I have placed Jack & Cricket due to the amount of work involved in raising/training Cricket & Jack + a litter.  So at this moment, it appears that litter is on hold, I appreciate the patience. I’ll keep everyone in the loop who were interested in an Idle/Farrah puppy.

The following breeds will be eligible for competition in regular breed classes on July 1, 2015. The Berger Picard and Miniature American Shepherd will be accepted into the Herding Group, the Lagottto Ramagnolo will be into the Sporting Group.

(yes, I know I’m a little behind in posting this :))

Cricket was the runt of the litter.  He’s microchipped, vaccinated (+ rabies), & dewormed.  He’ll be getting neutered in the next month.

Cricket is probably best suited for a home without smaller children, older children are ideal if children are present.  He’s a happy boy with a softer personality, just wants to be loved.  He’s a ham and LOVES the camera.  He’s also been seen eyeing himself in the mirror, he knows he’s cute.  Cricket can have some energy to him and jumps like he has springs on his legs.  May be a good agility prospect.

Cricket is crate trained.  Limited registration.

I’ve updated our Available page.  We still have a couple puppies available at this time.  I’m working on adding pictures.

Jack‘s vet checked, vaccinated (3x; including Rabies), de-wormed & micorchipped. AKC-FSS & UKC Registered.  Jack is NEUTERED

Jack is a handsome fawn out of our Farrah and by Digger of Silver Glen.  He was born July 13, 2014.
Jack is crate trained and very active.  Would do best in a home that can offer him daily exercise and activity.  He may also prefer a home with a strong female lead.

Best suited as an only dog/pet.

Both parents have their CHIC numbers, posted on OFA.

More snow pictures.

Jack will be offered free of charge to the right home.
