Masquerade Picards - Raising Berger Picards in Southwest Virginia

November 16th, 2015

Looks like we ended the day with 5 puppies total.  2 girls (1 fawn/1 brindle) and 3 boys (1 brindle/2 fawns).  I’ll be contacting our waiting list over the next couple days and will update availability afterwards.

Momma and puppies are all doing fine.  The puppies are already very vocal.  I hope you all will enjoy the puppy cam, watching our crew grow.

20150915_163501-1Sire: Digger of Silver Glenn
Dam: CH AllStar’s Farrah Fawcett
DOB: July 13, 2014

Due to some unforeseen circumstances we’re forced to decrease our numbers.

Elvis is familiar with a doggy door and has been crated in the past, a belly band wouldn’t be bad for his introduction to a new home.  He’ll approach strangers.  Not ideal for a home with livestock unless someone wants to work him and teach him how to be around livestock properly.  I wouldn’t trust him in a home with cats.  He would be best suited in a home as the only dog or with a female companion of similar size and energy level.  He tries to get my adult male Picard to engage in a scuffle of which my older Picard ignores but Elvis continues to push the issue.

Elvis is scheduled to be neutered on Jan 10th, at which time he’ll be ready for his new home.  His ideal home will be within driving distance because I will not ship him to a home that hasn’t met him first.

He has had his DNA submitted to OFFA.  AKC/UKC Registered. Microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed etc.

Looking like love is in the air here… Farrah seems to be coming into heat so we’ll be keeping a close watch on the love birds and contacting our waiting list as the days progress.  If you are interested in a picard puppy, please fill out an application to be considered as a potential home.  We’re happy to answer any questions you may have.

This breeding time frame should result in puppies around early November… making puppies ready to go home early-mid January.

Feel free to stalk our website for updates, we’ll also email updates to our waiting list, & post on our facebook page.
